Thanks to the outstanding and impeccable brilliance of Rusev and Aiden English, The Bulgarian Brute’s “Happy Rusev Day” merchandise has made the top selling chart on WWE’s official Shop website.
In case you didn’t know,
Rusev started off in the WWE as a hideous villain alongside Lana who was his ravishing manager.
Rusev did well in his early days acquiring one of the longest undefeated streaks in the WWE while being The United States Champion.
After Lana got promoted to in-ring competition and a star on Total Divas, Rusev paired up with former Vaudevillian Aiden English and the two formed a formidable and entertaining tag team; and since then, the two heels evolved to becoming Fan Favourites.
“Happy Rusev Day” T-Shirts Rank No.1 on WWE Shop.
To a shocking surprise, after the “Happy Rusev Day” merchandise was unveiled to the public, just a week afterwards, the T-Shirt hit the top of everybody’s Christmas wishlists.
After a month, it surprisingly became the highest seller on the WWE Shop during the festive period.
The Rusev branded T-Shirt ranked No.1, followed by AJ Styles‘ “The One Who Gets it Done” and The Uso’s “Down Since Day One Ish” T-Shirts.
However, AJ Styles’ merchandise still ranks the best selling on lockdown on the WWE Shop.
The Tag Team of Rusev and English suddenly evolved from “Boring” to “Fan Favourites” in the past few weeks, thanks to their new “Rusev Day” act.
It is, however, speculated that the duo could be in a major Tag Team title picture in the coming weeks because WWE leverages on fame and popularity; just like how Daniel Bryan transited with his “YES Movement” from a Heel to a huge Babyface.
The Rusev Day franchise started as a joke and it’s now becoming a big thing in the WWE.
2017 for Rusev appeared to be one of his worst years as he barely won a title.
This changed, after he paired up with ‘The Drama King’ Aiden English, developing a new gimmick which is now storming the world by surprise.
I suppose WWE could leverage on this act and turn it into something outstanding in the future.
