According to backstage reports, One-half of The Revival Scott Dawson is said to make his in-ring return in a few weeks after being ruled out of action since August.
In case you didn’t know…
Back in NXT, The Revival won the NXT Tag Team Titles on two occasions, establishing a noteworthy feud with DIY, American Alfa and The Authors of Pain before debuting on the main roster early this year on Monday Night RAW.
The Revival was a major part of RAW’s comeback booking with The New Day after WrestleMania 33. They feuded with the multi-time Tag Team Champions and The Hardy Boyz on different occasions.
Unfortunately for the duo, Scott Dawson sustained a severe right-hand bicep injury during a WWE Live Event in Canada against The Swiss Superman Cesaro; which ruled him out from WWE TV for about 6 months.
Due to this injury, The Revival has missed notable WWE pay-per-view events such as SummerSlam, Survivor Series and TLC.
Scott Dawson’s in-ring return.
According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, The former 2-time NXT Tag Team Champion has almost fully recovered from the bicep injury and is underway for his long-awaited Monday Night Raw comeback.
It was, however, stated that Dawson underwent a successful surgery and is currently awaiting WWE Medical Team for the clearance to return back to the squared circle.
With this said, Pro Wrestling Sheet officially noted that Scott Dawson is likely to return back to action on the closing dates of December 2017 or in January 2018.
What’s next for The Revival?
Before now, The Revival posed to be in the RAW Tag Team Titles Picture before the injury to Dawson came to limelight.
It is, however, speculated that a return feud with The Bar or The Shield would be the next milestone for the NXT Alumni to conquer.
- With Dawson’s return said to be on course, the RAW Tag Team division is about to step things up with some interesting hardcore match bookings courtesy of The Revival. With this said, I can only hope we see a change in the repeated ‘Shield versus The Bar’ storyline for good.
From Wrestling Index, we wish Scott Dawson a speedy recovery.
