JOHN CENA KICKS OFF RAW
16-time WWE Champion John Cena returned to Monday Night RAW since his last appearance at Survivor Series to kick off the show as the fans cheered in a thunderous ovation.
Cena, filled with the holiday spirit, talked about the WWE’s achievements in 2017 while he entertained the fans in attendance.
Elias interrupted Cena’s promo and claimed WWE stood for “walk with Elias.”
As The Drifter continued, chants of “CM Punk” overshadowed him, to which Cena insisted they let the WWE Universe have fun.
When Elias mounted his guitar and played a song that insulted the city, Cena took exception and told Elias he’s being a Jerk.
In anguish, Elias pretended to fantune the song to the audience’s pleasure, only to blindside Cena with a cheap shot to the surprise of the fans.
Later on, a match was scheduled against Elias and Cena in singles action.
JOHN CENA VS. ELIAS
The match kicked off at a fast pace as Elias took the fight to the Cenation leader in the early going.
He continued to lay more attacks, beating and mauling down the Franchise player in quick successions.
As the momentum evolved, Cena made his comeback and the crowd came alive. He delivered his signature Shoulder Tackle but Elias wisely rolled to the outside. He returned with a devastating Clothesline that sent Cena lying on his back again.
The bout continued to thrive under the dominance of The Drifter shortly after he had survived 2 STF attempts from Cena.
In the final stages of the match, Super Cena fought his way back and hit Elias with his trademark Attitude Adjustment for the win.

ABSOLUTION VS. MICKIE JAMES, BAYLEY AND SASHA BANKS.
This Christmas Monday, Absolution’s Paige, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville sought to put away 3 former Women’s Champion Mickie James, Bayley and Sasha Banks in a 6-women Tag Team matchup.
As the match progressed, the Heels gained the upper hand after a left hand struck Bayley, allowing the Villains to take control.
Moments later, Rose and Paige seized control after Sasha Banks was struck by a thunderous Clothesline from Deville.
The Boss spent several minutes on the receiving end of the beatdown until a hot tag to Bayley came into play.
The Hugger wasted no time in unloading on her opponents. She beatdown and rammed over her foes with a selection of mouth-watering strikes and delivered a Bayley-to-Belly that nearly laid out Paige for the win.
Moments later, the brawl broke down to the outside. In return, Paige caught her foe with her trademark Ram-Paige for the win.
Absolution defeated Mickie James, Bayley and Sasha Banks.
KANE VS. HEATH SLATER
Rhyno, in an attempt to toughen up Heath Slater, booked the former 3MB leader against The Big Red Machine, Kane in singles action.
In the ring – with Rhyno backing Slater, Kane wasted no time in putting away the Redhead with a stunning Chokeslam.
After the match, Rhyno entered the fray and confronted Kane; only to be laid out with another Chokeslam. And The Big Red Machine walked away afterwards.

CURT HAWKINS VS. FINN BALOR.
Curt Hawkins stormed the ring and issued a Christmas Open Challenge to any RAW Superstar with hopes of ending his Zero to 146 losing match streak.

The focused Hawkins took the match to Balor, scoring a handful of near-falls as he desperately sought his first win of 2017.
As expected, Balor regained the advantage and took over the dominance with a Double Stomp and a Sling Blade thereafter.

“WOKEN” MATT HARDY COLLIDES WITH BRAY WYATT.
The rivalry between The Eater of Worlds Bray Wyatt and The “Woken” Matt Hardy advanced to a different level on this week’s episode of RAW.
As Wyatt made his way to the ring for a possible promo, the lights suddenly went off and The “Woken” One appeared from behind.
The Chicago crowd chanted “Delete” as Hardy attacked hir arch-rival Bray Wyatt from the shadows.
Hardy laid waste to Wyatt and picked up a microphone afterwards. He laughed maniacally as The Eater of Words retreated, looking stunned at the top of the ramp.
CRUISERWEIGHT Miracle on 34th Street Fight.
The Cruiserweight Division was also in action in Christmas attires as champion Enzo Amore, Drew Gulak and Ariya Daivari battled Akira Tozawa, Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali in a Six-Man Tag Team Miracle on 34th Street Fight.
The Babyfaces seized control in the early moments of the bout, stalling Gulak and Daivari at ringside.
As the momentum evolved, Ali hit a 054 manoeuvre, Gulak made the save for a near-fall until the action came down to Alexander and Amore.
Gulak again, made another save by wiping out Amore by accident. He then ended up on the receiving end of a candy-cane attack to his back.
In the final laps of the match, Ariya Daivari attempted to slay his foe, but the No. 1 Contender Alexander finished him off with a Lumbar Check for the win.
Cedric Alexander, Akira Tozawa and Mustafa Ali defeated Enzo Amore, Drew Gulak and Ariya Daivari.
ROMAN REIGNS VS. SAMOA JOE (Intercontinental Championship match)
In Chicago this Christmas evening, The Intercontinental Champion Roman Reigns defended his IC title against The Samoan Submission Machine Samoa Joe in singles action.
Reigns, who sought payback for Ambrose’s arm injury, unloaded on Joe and controlled the early proportions of the match with a fury of vengeance.
The Destroyer, though, worked his way up and pounded on Reigns with heavy strikes and a stunning headbutt, but Reigns countered with a Samoan Drop.
Reigns hit his foe with a second Superman Punch that nearly scored him the victory.
As he was setting up for a Spear, Joe countered with a high kick to the face and earned a near-fall of his own.
The momentum continued to shift from side-to-side between both competitors as Joe clamped his opponent with a Coquina Clutch that seemed to put-down the Big Dog for a while.
After a long way down the submission effect, Reigns finally reached the bottom rope, breaking the hold thereafter.
A furious Joe extended his attack by attacking Reigns’ limbs, working over The Big Dog as the bout approached later stages.
In frustration mode, Reigns reversed the attack and laid waste to The Destroyer while shoving away the referee – with his emotions getting the best of him.
The Referee called-in a disqualification afterwards, but Reigns refused to cease the attack on Joe. He hit the Samoan Submission Specialist with a huge Superman Punch that sent him to the arena floor.
The Champ continued to punish his opponent until a handful of referees stormed the ringside area for a separation.

Not long after, The Monster Among Men rammed over Dallas and Axel with a Running Powerslam for the decisive victory.
Braun Strowman defeated The Miztourage.
ALEXA BLISS AND ASUKA COLLIDE.
The RAW women’s champion Alexa Bliss made her way to the ring and wasted little time in taking credit for the announcement of the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble. She said it was her influence that brought the mind-blowing pay-per-view event to the Women’s Division.
Shortly after, Asuka interrupted her promo and made her way to the ring, announcing her entry into January 28’s Royal Rumble event.
A kick from The Empress of Tomorrow laid out The Goddess to close the segment.
THE BAR VS. SETH ROLLINS AND JASON JORDAN.
Rollins and Jordan tagged as a result of Dean Ambrose’s injury from last week backroom brawl to battle the RAW Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Cesaro.
It was a hard call for the new tag-mates as the dissension between Rollins and Jordan was apparent through the course of the match.
As the match went on, Rollins was grounded in a corner by the Tag Champions as the beatdown evolved.
Jordan attempted to come to the aid of his partner but ended up being sent back-first into the guardrail. This left Rollins without a tag partner for a while before Jordan returned back to the fray.
Moments later, a tag was made and Jordan stormed the squared circle, unloading on Sheamus and Cesaro with a high momentum buildup.
Cesaro halted his momentum and clamped him in a Sharpshooter. Jordan eventually survived and the action broke down to the floor.
With Cesaro and Rollins battling at ringside, Sheamus applied a Cloverleaf submission manoeuvre, and again, Jordan survived.
He afterwards planted the Swiss Superman with a stunning knockout manoeuvre and scored himself and Ambrose the shocking pinfall victory for the Tag Team Gold.
Jason Jordan and Seth Rollins defeated Sheamus and Cesaro to become the new RAW Tag Team Champions.
